Epic

Epic was his name from Legend he was born
Mystery was the girl who had his heart worn
out to save the world but his father always warned
the savior of the world is of the world scorned
Sorrow was the one who was the antagonist of he
so along to help Epic was Happiness to be
Happiness was beautiful a wonder just to see
even brought a smile to hearts full of Animosity
All Epic wanted was Happiness by his side
And Mystery to smile with that look in her eye
But Mystery didnt smile when she saw Happiness by
so she brought a new friend named Jealousy inside
Happiness couldn't stand to be near Jealousy
and Epic couldn't bear to leave his Mystery
so while Epic brought Happiness to everyone that he could see
Happiness was with everyone but he
Time came and went never saying hello but always adieu
Epic was still searching for something true.
Happiness had left him, went out with Time one day
Mystery was still silent never much to say.
Epic didn't even know who she was
Then Time came back, with a young woman named Love
She looked at Epic and Mystery and asked him
"Why aren't you with Happiness, isn't she your friend?"
Epic looked at Mystery and held his head down.
He looked at Love asked "Who is this Clown?"
Love was just a joke to him after what Time had done
Mystery smiled darkly, Epic now the silent one.
"I brought a friend with me, who you haven't seen in a while."
Love had said this with a slight, sad smile.
Happiness stepped from behind her more beautiful than before
short and incomplete she was both of these no more.
Full and matured, she was at home with Love
Love had made her right, better than she was.
Mystery and Jealousy, vanished that night.
no more Sorrow for he too joined the flight.
Epic found out who Mystery truly was
his Mystery was the reason he hadn't found Love
Love never left Happiness, they were both there to stay
but Love told Epic the most important thing that day
Everyone else's Happiness won't always be yours
Happiness for everyone else was what Epic had set out for
you can't save the world, like you tried to do before.
